Individuation, Transference/projection, dreams, and Active Imagination. These four 'pillars' encompass a variety of Jungian concepts and practices, so, as well as working with dreams, we would also learn and practice active imagination, (including a form called 'Embodied Active Imagination and there would also be an opportunity to participate in, observe and learn the basic principles of Jungian Sandplay, which is included under the broad heading of Active Imagination); we would also use different exercises to learn about our own transference/projections etc. If we followed this option for a year, each of you would have effectively completed a certificate in basic Jungian concepts.

The psychological process involved in the Path of Conscious Individuation is internal referencing and communication with the unconscious. This involves learning to interpret and listen to the language of the psyche/soul, which is expressed in symbols. This course will focus on the symbolic language, how to interpret it and how to access it through dream work, symbol work and relating to it from the perspective of the ego. This course will introduce you to the key elements involved in symbolic work and teach you the skills and tools that you will need to engage and work with your own unconscious.

The course is open to all, regardless of previous experience with Jungian or psychodynamic theory. This is a comprehensive introduction to the key concepts in Applied Jungian Psychology. The main concepts will be approached and engaged with, using experiential, creative and reflective methods. The course is designed to facilitate the development of a more holistic perspective on yourself and the world around you. The focus is on individuation, meaning and consciousness.

*Please note, this course is not a qualification to practice, although it may be accepted as a preliminary to entering some professional trainings.

Dream group

A new dream circle will begin soon.

We will use a method called 'projective dreamwork'. It is a time-tested, safe method based on principles of jungian analytical psychology, which allows for deep exploration of dream content. As the group progresses, there will be opportunities to explore creative methods of dreamwork.

No previous experience is necessary, simply the willingness to attend to, record and share your dreams. You will learn and become experienced in simple techniques of dream listening and responding.

Six Saturdays 10 am to 12 noon.

25th March through 29th April inclusive.

We will meet in The Heaton Practice. The cost is £120 payable in advance.

This will be an initial set of six two hour meetings. The cycle can be repeated for those wishing to participate in ongoing dreamwork.

*Please note that this group can be joined at any time, cost for individual group sessions will be £25*
